Matcha (or Matcha in exact transliteration, Matcha) - translates as "ground tea" - it is a powdered tea made by grinding a dry leaf of Japanese tea Tencha (Tentya). It has an exquisite rich aroma with a mild flavor. Tea leaves, from which Tentya and further Matcha are produced, are shaded before picking, like the Japanese green tea Gekuro.
Matcha Tea is famous as the foundation of a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, behind which lies a whole philosophy.
Matcha green is also used in cooking as a food supplement in various desserts and drinks to give color and added flavor.
Taste
The infusion is opaque, green. The aroma of the infusion resembles nori seaweed. The taste is very dense, marine, with a pleasant bitterness and a long, catchy finish.
